Putting Lessons - Short Putting & Body Stability
In this video, we want to stress that the body needs to remain stable. Body stability is a major factor for any golfer wanting to become more consistent and a more confident putter who can shoot lower scores. By keeping the body, the legs, the eyes and the head stable during the stroke, the arms, the forearms and the shoulders will get to do the major role for you to get the ball rolling well!
Mark Egly Talks Golf, Baseball and Participation
Please don't let science scare you because you think it's intimidating! I speak of Maximum Force all the time. I simply have applied something we we're all taught in 7th or 8th grade science class by Isaac Newton and his III Laws. The basis of this his law that states FORCE = MASS x ACCELERATION is a major focus point of how my players hit a ball harder than most the competition!.
These lessons will help golfers, baseball and softball players hit it harder and farther while avoiding injuries caused by factors that negatively influence performance.
Participation drops because of numerous reasons as the years go by, but I personally never want to a young player to drop out for these reasons;
1) Lack of success because of poor performance and methods
2) Lack of fun playing a sport
3) Poor coaching
4) Pressure to perform with poor methods that could easily be changed!
5) A child not having access to expense instruction or not having funds to travel to compete
Good luck to every future star that's working towards a dream. We're here to help keep everyone participating and having fun, just tune in here and tell us how we can help!!!
Sincerely,
Mark Egly
Sean McCarty Practicing All Aspects of the Game
There can be a misconception amongst novice golfers that players like Sean McCarty just hit it long and the rest of the game comes easy. The practice session of this day was repeated many times a year by Sean since he was a junior golfer. Last year in 2012, many hours were spent just like this day working at every aspect of the game of golf, not to mention the physical training and fitness work Sean does on a regular basis. Sean became the 2012 Iowa Section PGA Champion in 2012. Sean will play in National Championships this year and the PGA Tour John Deere Classic because of the hard work at every aspect of his game in the past. His work from here on out will benefit him in his golf ventures of 2013 and in future years.
Young golfers need to look to players like Sean for work ethic and competitive preparation, because of the example they put forth to achieve the levels of success they achieve. This isn't the greatest instructional video, but it is a great example of a great athlete, practicing to excel at the top of his profession!
More to come each week in 2013!!!!
